Welcome to Delta Eye Medical Group

Delta Eye Medical Group is a full-service ophthalmology practice with three locations in Central California (Stockton, Lodi, and Tracy). The origins of the group go back to the early 1970's when Dr. Robert Hopkins went on a medical mission trip to India, and Dr. Alan Nakanishi came to fill in for him. When Dr. Hopkins came back in 1973, the two started Delta Eye Medical Group, and the physicians have continued the commitment to medical missions while providing complete state-of-the-art medical and surgical eye care for all ages.

Andrew P. Chen

M.D., F.A.C.S.

Andrew P. Chen, M.D., F.A.C.S. (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) joined Delta Eye Medical Group in 1994 after completing his medical training at Loma Linda University and his ophthalmology residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Pamela Y. Tsuchiya

M.D.

Pamela Y. Tsuchiya, M.D., earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University in 1990 and did her ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda’s Medical Center. She is the daughter of Dr. Alan Nakanishi and has wanted to practice ophthalmology since childhood.

Julio Narvaez

M.D.

Julio Narvaez, M.D., recently joined Delta Eye Medical Group as a cornea specialist. Dr. Narvaez holds prestigious credentials as having been a full professor of ophthalmology at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

Alan Nakanishi

M.D., F.A.C.S.

Alan S. Nakanishi, M.D., F.A.C.S., is one of the founders of Delta Eye. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in 1965 and completed his ophthalmology residency at USC Medical Center.

On-Tat Lee

M.D.

On-Tat Lee, M.D. as a California native, has spent his whole life living and studying in various locations in the state. Dr. Lee received his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley before studying medicine at UC Davis. He then completed his medical internship at UCSF Fresno and ophthalmology training at the USC Roski Eye Institute.

Aamun Garcha

O.D.

Aamun Garcha, O.D., is a Lodi native, who attended UC Davis where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in neurology and physiology. Afterward, he received his Doctorate of Optometry from Western University in Health Sciences.

Hana Rha

O.D.

Hana Rha, O.D., earned her degree in optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago after graduating from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in integrative biology.

LASIK

LASIK surgery at Delta Eye Medical Group’s Stockton, Lodi and Tracy locations is used to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and/or astigmatism. A complete eye exam will determine if you are a candidate for LASIK. LASIK is an outpatient procedure and takes only about 10 minutes per eye to complete. It’s done under topical anesthetic drops to eliminate pain. LASIK uses a laser to create a thin flap on the cornea, and a second laser to reshape the cornea (the clear covering of the eye where contact lenses are placed) to correct the way the eye focuses light rays on to the retina. LASIK often decreases or eliminates your dependence on glasses and contact lenses. As board certified ophthalmologists with subspecialty training in refractive surgery and corneal diseases, Dr. Jeffrey J. Ing and Dr. Julio Narvaez have special interest in offering LASIK surgery to their patients.

These lifestyle or also called premium IOL’s provide patients with the best possible vision without glasses. Cornea Transplants

A corneal transplantation, also known as keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure to replace all or part of your damaged cornea with a donor cornea. A donated corneal tissue is taken from a recently deceased individual with no known diseases affecting the tissue. The purpose of a corneal transplantation is to reduce pain and restore vision. The surgery is performed by the professionals at our Cornea Centers in Stockton, Tracy and Lodi.
