Andrew P. Chen, M.D., F.A.C.S. (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) joined Delta Eye Medical Group in 1994 after completing his medical training at Loma Linda University and his ophthalmology residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Chen is the son of long-time Lodi ophthalmologist Dr. George Chen. He practices comprehensive eyecare with emphasis on glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive surgery. Dr. Chen and his wife have two teenaged sons and are active in their church and its school. He enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing, and snowboarding.
Jeffrey J. Ing, M.D., F.A.C.S., completed both his medical degree (1992) and ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University Medical School. He went on to complete a fellowship in cornea and external disease at the Mayo Clinic. He joined Delta Eye Medical Group in 1999 after practicing in Puerto Rico for one year. Dr. Ing performs cornea transplants and LASIK refractive surgery in his role as a cornea specialist as well as practicing general ophthalmology. Dr. Ing is very interested in medical missions which he often combines with scuba diving and underwater photography. He and his wife have three children.
Alan S. Nakanishi, M.D., F.A.C.S., is one of the founders of Delta Eye. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in 1965 and completed his ophthalmology residency at USC Medical Center. Dr. Nakanishi served as Chief of Ophthalmology in US Army from 1969 to 1971 after which he came to Stockton to practice. He completed a fellowship in retina and vitreous at Pacific Medical Center if 1978 and a Master’s Degree in Health Administration in 1991. Dr. Nakanishi is a former California Assemblyman and currently serves as a Lodi City Councilman. He and his wife have three grown children.
Julio Narvaez, M.D., recently joined Delta Eye Medical Group as a cornea specialist. Dr. Narvaez holds prestigious credentials as having been a full professor of ophthalmology at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from that institution in 1992. Dr. Narvaez completed fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery from Emory University Eye Center in 2003. His wife is a family practice physician, and they have three small children. Dr. Narvaez enjoys doing medical mission work in addition to writing and speaking.
Pamela Y. Tsuchiya, M.D., earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University in 1990 and did her ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda’s Medical Center. She is the daughter of Dr. Alan Nakanishi and has wanted to practice ophthalmology since childhood. She joined Delta Eye in 1997 and works in the Tracy office. Married to a physician, she and her husband have three young children. Dr. Tsuchiya is known for her compassionate bedside manner. She enjoys homeschooling her children and participating in church activities.
Hana Rha, O.D., earned her degree in optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago after graduating from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in integrative biology. Dr. Rha joined Delta Eye in 2001 and practices in the Tracy location. She and her husband have two young children.
Hieu M. Ly, O.D., came to Delta Eye Medical Group in the summer of 2012. Dr. Ly earned his optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry having completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. Dr. Ly is an energetic and hardworking optometrist who has had experience in fitting specialty contact lenses. He has proved himself to be a competent practitioner, well-liked by patients and staff.
Julie Tse, O.D. received her doctorate from SUNY College of Optometry in New York City and bachelors in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley. After living in New York City for four years, she had the to absorb different perspectives on the cultures and lifestyles in the East Coast. Today, she returns to her hometown of Stockton, Ca to serve the community that inspired and supported her endeavors and aspirations.
Dr. Tse provides full scope optometry. Her specific interests within optometry are complex contact lens fits (custom cosmetic contact lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, scleral lenses) and ocular disease (glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, and macular degeneration). Dr. Tse’s externships include Southern Arizona Veteran Affairs Health Care System in Tucson, AZ and OMNI Eye services in Iselin, NJ — which has kept her updated in the latest technologies in treating and diagnosing multiple optometric sub-specialties.
